The Palo Alto Mortise Pocket Door Hardware made by Baldwin is normally used on sliding pocket doors where privacy is desired. The mortise lock can be thrown and retracted by either the thumbturn on the interior or by turning the node on the exterior; and since this lockset is for privacy only, it can be unlocked from the outside in case of an emergency. It can be used on doors that have a 2-1/2 inch backset that are at least 1.75 inches thick. The Privacy Palo Alto Pocket Door Set comes packaged with everything you'll need for one door: 2 pulls, a privacy mortise, and the mounting hardware.
