This 83" long heavy duty full surface Continuous Gear Hinge is normally used on door retrofit and renovations but also used in new construction when door mortising is not practical. They will fit a narrow door frame of 1-7/16" or wider. Full Surface Hinge - Door Frame Jamb flange is surface applied to door frame. Door flange is surface applied to door face.

A Continuous Geared Hinge consists of two full-height, paired and geared leafs. Each geared leaf rotates evenly from top to bottom, riding on superior Delrin Teflon bearings. The geared leafs and bearings are held together by a full length channel cap. This assembly retains the smooth, clean lines of the door and frame, while easily supporting heavy vertical loads. Mont Hard Continuous Gear Hinges are made of 6063 T6 Aluminum with interlocking extrusions and packaged complete with mounting hardware. The thrust bearings are concealed and self-lubricating for long life. They offer a high degree of security with tamper resistant removable door leaf cover.
