This cabinet latch is surface mounted (screwed to the face of the door) with the included matching finish wood screws for easy installation. It is primarily used on cabinet doors, however it can also used on furniture doors, utility doors, pantry doors, any door or window where a colonial styled surface mounted lock is required. Colonial Design Cabinet Lock is in two parts, the thumb turn lock mechanism and strike box. By turning (rotating) the thumb turn knob you are locking them together. The classic colonial style and solid brass metal construction allows for years of durable continuous use, and is resistant to corrosion.
